From humble beginnings in a small warehouse in 1957, the Global Food & Wine Group is now a multi-warehouse operation with locations in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Bundaberg, Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns. A long established family owned and operated company that has built its reputation for hitting the bullseye providing limitless kitchen food requirements to the foodservice industry.

How We Sold The Business

JB Distributors, owned by Jim Barnard, traded successfully in Rockhampton as a leading food service provider and part of the Countrywide buying group. Jim was ready to retire and asked John Rigby to assist with the sale, and his exit from the business. Interest in the business was strong, but there was a logical buyer in Global Food Services who ran distribution outlets from the Gold Coast to Cairns with Rockhampton the missing link in the network. The name JB Distributors was eventually retired and the business was re-branded Global Food Services - Rockhampton.
