When Kerry Packer decided to buy 50% of Mark Bouris’ Wizard Home Loans, Packer asked Bouris:
“What business are you in son” ?
Bouris enthusiastically told Packer he was in the home financing industry and how much his loan book was worth.
Packer said ” I’ll ask you again – what business are you in ?”.
Bouris looked puzzled and a little worried.
Packer said ” I’ll help you out on this one, son. You’re in the Hopes and Dreams business”.
